To give you full oversight of the telematics data BMW currently has stored in relation to your motorcycle, you can submit a request for your archived data to BMW Motorrad CarData at any time. A data archive of this nature consists of a detailed list of the telematics data stored for your motorcycle and a catalogue that explains the key terms. This means you can always stay up to date. Creating a data archive can take up to 24 hours, or even longer in some exceptional cases. As soon as the file is available, you will be notified via email. The data archive will then be available for you to download for 14 days.

The report contains a list of these transactions on a monthly basis. It usually only takes a few minutes to create a BMW Motorrad CarData transaction report. For example, if you request a BMW Motorrad CarData data archive, you will be notified as soon as the file is available for download. You will also receive an email to inform you of any new requests for data access or service approvals. Of course, the BMW Group will also inform you in a timely manner of any impending changes to the BMW Motorrad CarData Terms of Use. Some notifications are essential, others are optional. BMW Motorrad CarData therefore offers you the option to deactivate certain types of notifications. You are free to change your mind at any time – a single click is all it takes. The choice is yours.
BMW Motorrad CarData offers you the opportunity to manage approvals for your telematics data to be accessed by third parties and for the provision of services by independent providers. This also means that you have the option to reset all settings you have configured in relation to BMW Motorrad CarData to their default state at any time. By resetting, you will revoke all data access and service approvals you have issued and your data archive will be deleted. Any affected third parties and independent providers will be informed of your choice to reset and will no longer have access to your telematics data, nor will they be able to provide the relevant services.
Please note: Resetting may have consequences with respect to any existing contractual relationship between you and the third party or independent provider that you have authorised to access your data or perform services. If you have any concerns in this regard, please contact the third party or independent provider in question before performing the reset.
