From 5th to 7th of July 2024, Garmisch-Partenkirchen was again transformed into the Mecca of motorcycle culture, as the BMW Motorrad Days event returned to its traditional home after a two-year stint in Berlin. An emotional highlight for the global BMW Motorrad community, who appreciate this location for its breathtaking panoramic views of the Alps, and for the reminders of past BMW Motorrad Days.
A weekend full of highlights
This year’s itinerary was jam-packed with highlights for all kinds of motorcycle enthusiasts. From exhilarating test rides and trips across spectacular passes, right up to the latest technical innovations in the field of Adventure bikes. In addition to the typical Bavarian lifestyle and a wide range of live music, there were also spectacular performances and stunt shows to create an exuberant atmosphere.

It wouldn’t be the BMW Motorrad Days without what is sure to be the most exciting concept vehicle of the year. With its powerful retro design, the BMW R20 Concept is reminiscent of the legendary BMW Motorrad bikes of the 1930s, while offering state-of-the-art technology and futuristic performance at the same time. In light of the BMW Motorrad Days’ homecoming as the event returns to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the R20 Concept was presented in a very fitting way: the tank was adorned with lederhosen-style buckskin by Meindl Fashion.

The impressive landscape surrounding the local mountain provided the perfect backdrop for the world première of the new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure. It was an appearance that drew a lot of attention. After all, this GS is redefining standards in the segment. Equipped for any off-road challenge, it is the epitome of an Adventure bike. The almost entirely new design offers comprehensive improvements to its Adventure capabilities.
